How Homeplex Reviews Started

Homeplex Reviews started with a simple frustration: trying to buy an air purifier and finding nothing but confusing spec sheets and reviews that all seemed to recommend the same handful of products, for reasons that were never quite clear. We wanted a place that actually explained which home improvement products were worth buying and why — written by people who'd used them, not just skimmed a spec sheet. That's still what we're building: a small number of categories, covered properly, one product at a time.

How we're funded

Homeplex Reviews is reader-supported. When you buy through a link on this site, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. Commission rates differ between products, and we deliberately keep the people writing reviews out of those numbers — the recommendation comes first, the link comes after.

If we ever can't recommend something honestly, we simply don't publish a review of it. That's the whole business model.
